Q - Why do you think Iqbal destroyed his carpet?
ReplyDeleteA: I think Iqbal destroyed his carpet to show that the people couldn't make him do things, like making carpets, so he ripped apart his carpet.
W - A part in this book that made me go "OH WOW!" was when Iqbal took his knife, and ripped apart his carpet. I was shocked by this because his carpet was perfect, and everyone would've loved it, but for some reason he ripped it apart.
I - I got a very clear image of Hussain Khan, with his thick black beard, tiny dark eyes, and oily hard. (page 6)
L - I found it very interesting when the author said "Visible like fireflies in a bush". I think it means that they were very noticable.
Q - I didn't find any.

W: A part of this book that made me say ow wow, was when after working so hard on his carpet, Iqbal had the guts rip it apart.
I: I had a very clear when Iqbal said through it you could see the open sky and just barely glimpse the branches of a flowering almond tree.

ReplyDeleteA- i think he wasnt litesening to him because he wanted to show the other kids that they shouldnt be afraid of him
W-A part in the book that made me go wow was when iqbal was sent to the tomb for three days and it was full of spiders snakes and scorpions
I- i got a very clear image of what some of the kids looked like because in the book they said iqbal found another work shop and saw the kids and there ribs looked like they could break through there skin.
l- the outdoor market is the true center of life and activity. i think the author meens that alot of people go to the market and one someone says something its going to be heard

W- I thought "WOW" when he ruined his carpet with his knife.
I- I got an image when it decribes the kids as skin and bones.

ReplyDeleteA: I believe Iqbal destroyed his carpet because he was tired of being a slave to terrible masters like Hussein Khan who never listened to them or treated them like humans.
W: I said wow when Iqbal escaped for the second time without going through the windows that now have bars in it so no one can escape but I guess someone did.
I: I got a clear image of a carpet one of the children was suppose to make but didn't because that child made a kite pattern instead.
L: I thought numskulls was a very different and interesting word to describe a child.
Q: The faster you work the faster yo go home, I chose this one because Iqbal said they would never go home so tecnically it's not right.
